Boeing Everett Factory Tour Tickets: Prices, Booking & Availability
How to book the Boeing Everett Factory Tour: current prices, timed departures, walk-up tickets, rescheduling, late arrivals and what to do when your date is sold out.

If the Boeing Everett Factory Tour is one of the main reasons for your Seattle trip, book it before you travel.
The tour runs on timed departures, capacity is limited, and popular slots can sell out. Current adult tickets bought direct from Boeing cost about $42–$46 and include General Admission to Boeing Future of Flight.
That direct ticket covers the attraction only. If you have no car, the Boeing Factory and Future of Flight Tour from Seattle bundles round-trip transport from downtown with factory admission, and the calendar below shows its dates.
Factory excursion with transport from Seattle
Ticket prices
| Visitor | Approx. current price |
|---|---|
| Adult | $42–$46 |
| Youth 6–15 | $30–$32 |
| Child 5 and under | Free |
| Senior 65+ | $36–$37 |
| Military | $36–$37 |
| Boeing employee | $20 |
Every Factory Tour participant must meet the 4 ft / 122 cm height requirement, so a child aged 5 or under goes free only if they are already that tall. Boeing employees can buy up to four extra tickets at the employee rate.
What does the ticket include?
A Factory Tour ticket includes:
- the scheduled Everett Factory Tour,
- the Future of Flight Gallery,
- Boeing Studio,
- the Sky Deck.
You do not need to buy General Admission separately. The Boeing Store and the Paper Plane Café need no ticket at all.
General Admission without the factory
Adult General Admission is $14 and includes all-day access to the Gallery, Sky Deck and Boeing Studio, but not the factory. Youth aged 6–15 pay $7, seniors and military $12, and children 5 and under go free.
Our ticket comparison guide sets the direct tickets against the Seattle coach tours side by side.
Should you book in advance?
Yes. Boeing itself says tickets sell out quickly and recommends booking ahead. It matters most if:
- you have only one day available,
- you want a specific departure,
- you are visiting on a weekend,
- you are traveling during a busy period,
- Boeing is a must-do attraction for you.
How far ahead should you book?
There is no universal rule. If Boeing is important to your trip, book as soon as your date is fixed.
If your dates are flexible, you can watch the live ticket calendar, which Boeing updates as inventory becomes available.
Can you buy online?
Yes. Online booking is the simplest option, because you choose your visit date and timed departure before you travel to Mukilteo. You can also book through Boeing Future of Flight Customer Service on +1 (800) 464-1476.
Can you buy tickets at the door?
Yes, if places remain. Boeing accepts walk-up purchases at the ticket desk.
Walk-up tickets make sense only if you are already nearby, or if you would be happy with General Admission should the factory be sold out.
Are on-site ticket sales cashless?
Yes. The Future of Flight ticket desk does not accept cash, so on-site purchases are by credit or debit card only. Bring a working card, and check the payment rules again if your visit is some months away.
What time are Factory Tours?
Tours run on scheduled daytime departures, Monday to Sunday, roughly every hour on busier days. The facility closes on Thanksgiving and on December 24, December 25, December 31 and January 1. Exact times vary by date, so always check the live booking calendar; our opening hours guide covers the holiday dates in detail.
How long is the tour?
About 80 minutes.
Allow 2½–3 hours for the full visit, including Future of Flight.
How early should you arrive?
At least 30 minutes before your scheduled Factory Tour.
You need that time for parking, check-in, the restroom, lockers and pre-tour organization.
What happens if you’re late?
Boeing’s terms are strict: if you do not arrive promptly for your scheduled tour, the reservation is forfeited. If an emergency comes up, call Customer Service at least one hour before your tour time and Boeing will try to reschedule you, depending on availability.
This is why visitors driving from Seattle should leave a generous traffic buffer. The getting-there guide compares driving, rideshare and coach options.
Can you reschedule?
Yes, subject to availability. Boeing lets you move General Admission and Tour tickets to another date or time up to 2 hours before your visit, using the “Reschedule Your Visit” link in your order confirmation email. Refunds need at least 2 hours’ notice of cancellation; none are given within 2 hours of your tour.
Check the current terms attached to your booking, because change and refund policies can be updated. A tour booked through a third party follows that operator’s cancellation terms, not Boeing’s.
Can Boeing cancel a tour?
Yes. Because this is an active industrial site, operational or safety requirements can affect public access, and Boeing reserves the right to cancel a tour at any time.
What’s the best tour time?
For first-time visitors, a morning or late-morning tour usually works well, because it leaves plenty of time afterward for the Gallery and Sky Deck.
The best departure, however, is the one you can reach comfortably without a stressful drive from Seattle.
Are weekends available?
Tours run seven days a week, but schedules vary by date. Friday to Sunday are Boeing’s peak days, so popular weekend times draw more demand and are the first to go.
Do children need tickets?
Yes, but eligibility depends on the strict Factory Tour height rule: 4 ft / 122 cm minimum. Carrying a child on the tour is not allowed.
Children who are too short can still visit the public parts of Future of Flight, including the Kids’ Zone and Sky Deck.
Do under-16s need an adult?
Yes. Boeing requires children and youth under 16 to be accompanied by an adult on the tour. Check the current visitor guidelines when you book family tickets.
Do you need ID?
Bring photo ID. Boeing says valid photo ID may be required to pick up tickets or to enter, and the senior, military and employee rates are sold “with ID”.
Group bookings
A single order can include up to 14 tickets. For a group of 15 or more, contact Boeing Future of Flight Customer Service directly instead of relying on ordinary public inventory.
Should you buy direct?
For a standard Factory Tour reservation, booking through official Future of Flight channels is the simplest option.
A third-party tour becomes useful only if it adds something you need, such as transportation from Seattle. The Boeing Factory and Future of Flight Tour from Seattle is the one we’d compare first: it includes round-trip transport and factory admission, starts from $135 per person, and is rated 4.6/5 from more than 550 reviews.
Does the ticket include transport from Seattle?
No. The standard Boeing Factory Tour ticket covers the attraction, not hotel pickup or city transportation.
You arrange your own journey to Mukilteo, about 25 miles north of downtown Seattle. Parking at Future of Flight is free.
Can you upgrade General Admission?
Yes, if Factory Tour space remains. You can upgrade to a Tour ticket when you arrive, pending availability, or arrange it in advance through Customer Service. Do not rely on an on-the-day upgrade if factory access is important to you.
What should you bring?
As little as possible. No items at all are allowed on the factory tour, including phones, cameras, tablets, bags, purses, pens, notepads, binoculars, and food or drink.
Use the free lockers in the lobby before your tour starts.
Are restrooms available during the factory tour?
No. Use the facilities at Future of Flight before you leave for the factory.
Is the ticket worth the extra cost?
For most first-time visitors traveling specifically for Boeing, yes.
General Admission gives you the exhibits and the Sky Deck. The Factory Tour gives you access to the working aircraft-production environment, the part no ordinary museum can offer. If historic aircraft matter more to you than production, the Museum of Flight south of downtown is a different and cheaper day out.
What if tickets are sold out?
Try:
- Other times on the same day.
- Another date.
- Rechecking the official inventory, which is updated as tickets become available.
- General Admission.
- Asking about an upgrade if space appears.
Do not travel from downtown on the assumption that a last-minute Factory Tour seat will appear.
Booking checklist
Before paying, confirm:
- the correct date,
- a realistic travel time,
- the height of every child,
- your transport plan,
- any accessibility needs,
- the current cancellation terms,
- the correct location: Future of Flight in Mukilteo, near Everett, not the Museum of Flight.
Planning your visit
For the Boeing Everett Factory Tour, booking ahead is the safest approach. Choose a departure you can reach comfortably, aim to arrive 30 minutes early, and remember that your Factory Tour ticket already includes the Gallery and Sky Deck.
