Show Me Seattle Boeing Factory Tour: What to Know Before You Book
Show Me Seattle’s coach tour to the Boeing factory takes 4.5 hours from downtown Seattle and includes transport both ways, a guide on board and Boeing’s factory tour. Many of the lower-rated reviews say the factory itself is seen only briefly, from one balcony.

The Boeing Everett factory sits beside Paine Field in Mukilteo, about 25 miles north of downtown Seattle, and the public sees it on Boeing’s own 80-minute tour from Future of Flight. Without a car, the simplest way there is a coach excursion such as Show Me Seattle’s Boeing Factory and Future of Flight Tour. It started from $135 per person when we checked on October 21, 2026, and includes the coach both ways, a guide on board and factory admission.
The calendar below shows which dates still have seats. The listing currently offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and you can reserve now and pay later.
Show Me Seattle coach tour to the Boeing factory
What to expect on the Show Me Seattle Boeing tour
Boeing sells the same factory tour direct for $42 to $46 per adult, and parking at Future of Flight is free, so most of the coach price pays for the transport and the commentary. That part is well reviewed. On GetYourGuide the guide is rated 4.8/5 and transportation 4.8/5. The drivers also act as guides, and the names reviewers mention most often are James, Matthew, Shawn and Casey. Expect Boeing and Seattle history on the drive north, and a few reviewers mention a quiz on the way.
Value for money is the lowest of the three scores, at 4.4/5. Opinions about the factory visit itself are more mixed than opinions about the guides.
Without a car, the alternatives are a rideshare both ways or a rental, because there is no simple public-transport route from downtown to Paine Field.
Four things are worth checking before you book:
- The factory is seen from an indoor balcony above the 777 and 777X assembly line, and recent reviewers estimated their time there at roughly 15 to 30 minutes.
- Phones, cameras and bags are not allowed on the factory tour, so you cannot take photos inside.
- Free time at Future of Flight can feel short, and a few reviewers wanted another half hour in the gallery.
- A few one-star reviews from 2024 to 2026 describe a departure cancelled the evening before for too few bookings, or a pickup that did not arrive.
The camera rule and the height limit are in the listing’s booking notes, but the description talks about going “inside the world’s largest building”, and several lower-rated reviewers had expected to walk through it. About nine in ten reviews give the tour four or five stars.
The tour suits a traveler who wants an organized morning, good commentary and a look at the 777X line. You may find the $135 price harder to justify if you could have driven there yourself.
Coach tour or driving yourself?
The Show Me Seattle coach makes more sense if you are staying downtown without a car. It removes the drive, the parking and the return rideshare, and the guide covers Boeing’s history on the way.
Driving suits you better if you already have a car. Boeing’s factory tour ticket costs $42 to $46 per adult and $30 to $32 for ages 6 to 15, it includes the Future of Flight gallery and Sky Deck, and you choose your own tour time. For two adults that is under $100 in tickets against $270 on the coach tour, plus fuel. Our guide to getting there from Seattle has the address, parking and drive times.
Show Me Seattle’s own website listed this tour at $125 for adults and $90 for children aged 7 to 12 when we checked. Compare the cancellation terms on both before you choose where to book.
Two other GetYourGuide listings run a similar trip from Seattle: a small-group tour with a local guide, also from $135 per person, and a private tour from $395 per person. Each had five or fewer reviews when we checked, too few for a fair comparison.
Five tips before you book
- Check that everyone in your group is at least 4 feet (122 cm) tall. Boeing does not allow shorter children on the factory tour, and children cannot be carried. Children under 16 must be with an adult.
- Check your messages the evening before for your pickup details. One reviewer’s guide sent a text the evening before with meeting instructions. If nothing has arrived by then, call Show Me Seattle on (206) 633-2489 to confirm the departure.
- Leave your phone and bag on the coach or in a locker. Phones, cameras, bags, food and drinks are not allowed in the factory. The listing says you can leave them in the locked tour shuttle, and Future of Flight has free lockers in the lobby.
- Use the restroom at Future of Flight before the factory tour starts. The booking notes say there are no restrooms during the factory tour.
- Ask your guide when the coach leaves Future of Flight. Knowing the departure time helps you split the free time between the gallery, the Sky Deck and the Boeing Store.
How the morning runs
Show Me Seattle’s own page lists an 8:45 a.m. pickup at the Hyatt Regency and a total of 4.5 hours, which brings you back downtown in the early afternoon. The listing does not publish a full itinerary with times for each part, so the outline below combines the operator’s page, Boeing’s tour page and what reviewers describe.
| Part of the trip | What happens | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Pickup | Coach from the Hyatt Regency, downtown Seattle | 8:45 a.m. |
| Drive north | Commentary on Boeing and Seattle | About 45 minutes, per reviewers |
| Factory tour | Boeing’s guided tour from Future of Flight | 80 minutes, per Boeing |
| Free time | Future of Flight gallery, Sky Deck and store | Varies by departure |
| Return | Coach back to Seattle, sometimes with a short extra stop | About 45 minutes or more in traffic |
The booking notes describe the factory tour as 1.5 hours, while Boeing’s own page says 80 minutes. Plan around the longer figure for restroom breaks.
Stop 1: Hyatt Regency pickup and the drive north
The coach leaves from the charter bus zone beside the Hyatt Regency Seattle at 808 Howell St. The operator asks you to be ready at 8:45 a.m. and to allow ten minutes for traffic. Boarding the coach involves three steps, and the vehicles have no wheelchair lift, although folding wheelchairs and scooters can be stored.
The drive is where this tour differs from going independently. Reviewers describe the guides as aviation enthusiasts who cover William Boeing, the growth of the Everett site and the neighborhoods you pass. A few reviewers say their guide drove part of the perimeter road around the Boeing site for photos before the factory tour, and one saw the Dreamlifter cargo plane take off. These extras depend on the guide and the time available.
Stop 2: Boeing Everett Factory Tour
Boeing describes its tour as an 80-minute guided experience with “a front-row look at current airplane production from the factory balcony”, focused on the 777 and 777X assembly line. The route starts at Future of Flight with a short bus transfer inside the site. Boeing’s accessibility page lists six steps onto that coach, 22 stairs and a walk of about 300 feet to the factory elevator, for about 0.3 miles in total.
The factory is seen from that balcony, not from the floor. Reviewers who rated the trip highly describe the scale of the building and seeing the 777X being built. Many of the lower-rated reviews say the viewing time was shorter than they expected for a 4.5-hour trip, with most estimates between 15 and 30 minutes, and that they had hoped to walk past the aircraft. One 2026 reviewer said it felt less like a factory tour than a quick view of two hangars.
The GetYourGuide description still mentions the 747 and the 787 Dreamliner. Boeing’s tour page names the 777 and 777X line, and 787 final assembly is now in South Carolina. Our guide to which aircraft you can see at Everett covers what is on the line in 2026.
The Show Me Seattle guide stays at Future of Flight while a Boeing guide takes you into the factory. The balcony view and the time on it are set by Boeing for every visitor, whether they arrive by coach or drive themselves.
Stop 3: Future of Flight gallery and Sky Deck
After the factory tour you have free time at Future of Flight. The gallery has exhibits on current and emerging Boeing products, space and hypersonic travel and sustainable fuels. The Sky Deck (the listing calls it the Strato Deck) is an open-air viewing deck over Paine Field.
Opinions on the gallery are mixed. Some reviewers describe the gallery as small or simple, and a few said the free time was too short to read the displays. One reviewer had about an hour, so the length varies by departure. On its own, General Admission to the gallery and Sky Deck costs $14 for adults, and our Future of Flight guide covers the exhibits.
Other practical things to know
- The tour is run in English. One reviewer advised against it for travelers who do not speak English.
- If you need a wheelchair at Future of Flight, tell Show Me Seattle when you book, because only a limited number are available.
- During a Boeing strike in September 2024, one reviewer said the factory tour was replaced with a video at Future of Flight.
- Future of Flight is closed on Thanksgiving (November 26, 2026), December 24, December 25, December 31 and January 1. Our best time to visit guide compares days and seasons.
Is the Boeing factory tour from Seattle worth it?
Yes, if you are staying in downtown Seattle without a car and want the trip organized for you. The $135 price covers the coach both ways, a guide on board and Boeing’s factory tour, and reviewers rate the guides and transport highly. It may be harder to justify if you were hoping to walk among the aircraft rather than look down on them from a balcony.
If you have a car, driving and buying Boeing’s ticket direct does the same visit for $42 to $46 per adult. Families should check the 4-foot height rule before booking either option, and have a backup plan in case the coach departure is cancelled. For a fuller aviation day without a height limit or camera ban, the Museum of Flight in south Seattle is the main alternative, and our comparison of the two sets them side by side.

How we put this together
We have not taken this tour ourselves. This page is based on Show Me Seattle’s GetYourGuide listing and its own website, Boeing’s factory tour, visit and accessibility pages, and traveler reviews at every star rating, with the lower-rated ones read in English, German, Spanish and the other languages they were written in. Prices, ratings and schedules were checked on October 21, 2026 and can change. We earn a commission if you book through our GetYourGuide links, at no extra cost to you.
